Deep Dish is playing at Crobar this Sat night. I haven't seen them perform since back when they were at Arc a few years ago, but I'm anticipating big things from this show. You can check out the video for their great song Flashdance by going here and clicking on the image.
Sunday night, went to see (my precious) Franz Ferdinand at Roseland here in NYC. It was a fun entertaining show, but somehow left me feeling a little disappointed. Maybe it was the fact that it was rather short, or the fact that they really only played the songs from the album. Well, they played the whole album, plus one cover song, plus one new song.
Maybe it was that the band didn't seem to be that into the performance. Only the keyboardist/guitar player (Nick McCarthy) seemed to really be excited about what he was doing.
I was really excited to try to see the Killers who played this week in NY also, but it was sold out before I got around to buying any tickets. Unfortunately, I later heard that they only played a 40 minute set. Glad I didn't spend my time on that.
