Finally today, I was able to get some save the date emails out. If this is your first time seeing this site, you can read the entry below this one for a short description of why we chose Barcelona, and the entries below that for some details about our engagement and our recent trip to Australia.
So, our date is set for September 29th, and we've found a fantastic venue for the event called La Baronia. It's a beautiful old house a bit outside the city of Barcelona. The original house dates back to the 15th century, and the "newer" parts were designed in the early 1900's by one of Gaudi's architects.
Like I mentioned in my email, we should have some information about hotels in Barcelona in the next few days. If you're interested in looking into your flights sooner rather than later, please keep in mind that everyone will be welcome for a rehearsal dinner on Friday the 28th, as well as a brunch the morning after on the 30th. We'll also have ideas for sightseeing that you shouldn't miss if you plan to stay in Barcelona a few extra days either before or after the wedding. We certainly think there's plenty to see in there.
